I successfully made soda bread last night! I was only a little needy about it--for the most part things went fine, until I got to the point where you're supposed to kneed the stuff into a ball, and well, the dough was so sticky that it was difficult to just get it off my hands, nevermind into a recognizable shape. We've gotten a roomba. My dear roommates named it Celia 2. I got lectured on calling the roomba an 'it' because I was hurting 'her' feelings. Wah, in the past, oh, five or so hours our heater has managed to warm the house from 60 to 61 degrees. While being set to 65, and then, in exasperation, at 70. I went to the beer festival down on fountain square last night, which ended up being pretty awesome. $10 got you ten tickets, and while it was four tickets for an entire 12oz cup, it was only one ticket for a sample, which was supposed to be 3oz but depending upon who was pouring could end up being closer to twice that.
